The Zoo Crew

Went on a fun trip to the zoo with the Pershall family a.k.a. zoo crew this week! Carter loves the zoo so they are regulars. Glad we got to tag along this time!

These leopards. Me oh my. They put on quite a show. See the one on the left? He was on the prowl. I'd love to post the next picture Tad snapped, but it might get reported. Such an animal that leopard!

How I love these beautiful nocturnal creatures.

Leaving the jungle. Until next time, Cameron Park Zoo!

The Sweetest Wedding Shoot

As you probably already know, Sweet Sunday Events is my favorite. Rachel and Katy were the master minds behind my wedding and this fun shoot we did last summer. When they asked me to do another shoot with them at the beautiful Plantation House, I was so on board! Everything they touch turns to gold. No pun intended! Thought I'd share a few of the beautiful photos by the one and only EE Photography.

How tasty does this food look? Thanks to Catering With A Twist! So fun.

There you have it! How beautiful is this venue? A fellow Kojie from ACU and her husband are now the owners and stay pretty busy booking weddings at this property. Speaking of weddings, my dear friend Alex is getting married in December and is using Sweet Sunday. Yay! Can't wait to see how beautiful that wedding will be. So glad I got to work with those girls again. I think they just hung the moon.  Also, a shout out to my groom for the day. Doug was such a gentleman! Pretty excited to celebrate the one year anniversary with my other groom next week. Here's to weddings!

Couchella

Every year I dream of going to Coachella. It kind of never happens, but I am always there in spirit. They wrapped it up this weekend. Unfortunately I was not in attendance and my weekend was more like couchella. Tad and I watched our shows and had some delicious take-out from Happy Wok. Why don't we do that more often? I mean, the egg rolls alone do it for me.

Let's take a moment and talk about how upset Tad was when I opened his fortune cookie. I didn't like mine (typical) and so I opened his. I don't really think that's how it goes, but hey. You would've thought I stole his winning lottery ticket. He got over it, though.

Finger lickin' good. Also, please note my hair in my hand. I do this all day, every day. Old habits die hard. I'm pretty sure that's what my fortune cookie meant to say.

Mediterranean & Museums

Tad and I are hobbits and do love our quiet activities at home, but we were eager to get out of the house this weekend. We enjoyed a tasty Mediterranean lunch on Saturday at the Al Miraj. Boy was it delicious. The restaurant also serves Pakistani and Indian food. Finally, Waco! This place is the real deal down to music. "Arabian Nights" kept playing over and over in my head during our meal (Aladdin is kind of my thing).

We weren't ready to go home after lunch quite yet so we decided to check out some local museums and libraries. By some, I mean every one. I am not lying when I say we visited every museum in Waco. We were on the hunt for a free one. No such luck there. Our next mission is to find free, fun things to do in Waco. Who doesn't love free?

Try not to let Tad's face scare you in that romantic couple shot. Still deciding if it's the sunglasses or just that smile that makes him look so sinister. That's my husband. And why I love him.

A Surprise Move!

We haven't told a soul yet, but we're going to a land down under! It's kind of crazy. Tad is going to finish school in Australia so he is able to practice law there. Can't wait to be an Aussie!

By the way, Happy April Fools' Day. Gotcha! Did I trick you?
