Summer Must Haves

Summer is officially here. I don't know about you, but I am excited as can be. I hope every weekend is a weekend in the sun. Most of these items are my beach bag essentials.

1. Sun Bum. I just ordered the sunscreen and cool down lotion. It smells pretty amazing. Can't wait to put it to good use next month in Florida.
2. Top Shop Boy Shorts. I just love cutoff shorts. I got a pair for $10 last year and I live in them. Goodwill never fails to have a few in stock.
3. Show Me Your Mumu. Every girl needs a mumu to wear to the beach and lounge poolside. Kandee and I joked the other day that my retired days will be spent on a beach relaxing with the flamingos in my favorite grandma mumu. I mean. Can't wait.
4. ASOS Floppy Hat. To keep those tresses safe in the sun, of course.
5. ASOS Oversized Sunglasses. For your inner hippie. It's the summertime, bring her out.
6. CHI Keratin Silk Infusion Products. I'm a huge fan of Farouk hair care. I recently tried the new Keratin leave-in conditioner and serum. It will do wonders for your hair if the sun or chlorine is getting the best of it.
7. OPI Can't Find My Czechbook. My nails are loving this color right now. No summer blues here.
8. Summer Must Reads: The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, Isn't It Pretty to Think So? by Nick Miller and Confessions of a Sociopath: Hiding in Plain Sight by M.E. Thomas (I'm fascinated by the human psyche and what makes people tick. It's true). Can't wait to dig into these books on the beach.

My Winter Wishlist

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8

With Christmas and my Birthday right around the corner, I thought why not make a winter wishlist? It's no surprise most of these items are from one of my favorite online stores. ASOS has a little something for everyone. Most of these items should stay on my wishlist, but I'm sure I'll cave and get a few things I just can't live without! Happens more than I'm willing to admit. I think Parks and Recreation has the right idea. Three words: Treat Yo Self.

Daydreamer

Yesterday I was just having one of those days. I'm a firm believer that daydreaming is a great cure for the blues. I found myself daydreaming about:

1. Our trip to El Cosmico in the fall. Tad and I are pumped for Marfa. Food Shark, here we come.
2. These sunglasses. I'm not a huge sunglasses girl, but sometimes I just see a pair that I must have. These are that pair.
3. This amazing free people top. What's not to love?
4. A neon dreamcatcher. 'Nuff said.
5. Having our own yard and this chair on the patio. The Acapulco Chair originated in Mexico in the 1950's. They are a little bit out of of my price range, but I hear not if you actually buy one in Acapulco. If anyone gets an itch to travel to Mexico, pick me up one?
6. Portland's one and only Voodoo Doughnut. Home of the Bacon Maple Bar. I will be in Oregon next month and happen to be staying a few blocks from this little shop. That's what I call fate, folks.

LATEST OBSESSIONS

1. This amazing print speaks truth.
2. A delicious oil I discovered at Whole Foods. Under $5. That's right. It doesn't hurt it's Tad's favorite.
3. M·A·C Snob lipstick. Quite possibly my new favorite summer shade.
4. Dying over the Show Me Your Mumu summer styles. I'll take one of each, please.
5. Carly. Forever and always love that lady. I have the coasters to prove it.
6. Still can't get enough of the El Camino album. Need to see them on tour. Badly.
7. Loving this air plant pod. I'm convinced our loft needs it.

PUNTA CANA DREAMIN'

You can find me these days daydreaming about our honeymoon in Punta Cana. If I wasn't a girl on a wedding budget, I'd snag these items. For now it's just a wish list. A girl can dream, right?

HEY, IT'S OK...

...To eat a Vitek's Gut Pak on your Birthday.
...That you already broke your New Year's resolution. We're creatures of habit.
...To listen to your new favorite song on repeat. All week.
...To still be searching for the perfect hair color.
...If you had to google Tim Tebow.

These may or may not be a few things I tell myself on a daily basis. Hey, it's OK.
