OUR WEDDING FILM

We are so in love with our sweet wedding film. Nostalgia Film captured this magical day perfectly. Another reason our wedding day was pretty amazing? Supermoon Saturday. You can catch a glimpse of the beautiful pink moon during our first dance. How sweet is Super 8 film?

COUNTDOWN

I'm sure this comes as a huge surprise, but this is my favorite engagement picture. I have the feeling marrying into a family with a little photographer will come in handy time and time again. We are just one month away from being husband and wife. So overwhelming in the most wonderful way. We are finished with pre-marital counseling and are so thankful for what the Lord is doing in our lives. Tad and I had a heart to heart last night about submitting our married life to His plan. I am in such a hurry to get things done in our future and yesterday, reality gave me a much needed smack in the face. Tad always has a way of bringing me back down to earth in our conversations. We also discussed how difficult newlywed life will be. The vows we take next month will not be taken lightly. We have big plans to guard each other's hearts and our marriage fiercely.

As far as the wedding itself (which I am 10 kinds of excited about), we'll be meeting with Sweet Sunday tomorrow to finalize the timeline for the big day.  I know Texas is in a drought, but if everyone could save the rain dance until after the wedding we'd just love that.

Happy Easter weekend!

COUNTDOWN

I just love how Chelsea captured us in true form in this picture. Awkward and awesome. Two months! Someone needs to pinch me because I don't even believe it. I'm getting pretty ansy about everything. Ready to be a newlywed with this man. One thing I'm just loving at this time is the amazing showers hosted by sweet friends and family. So blessed and thankful for their support. I'll be sharing pictures of my first bridal shower very soon. It was just darling! Can't say enough wonderful things about it. We also start pre-marital counseling this month. Wonder if Tad will finally realize what he's getting into?

Speaking of countdown, my best friend gets married in just five days! Please be praying for peace and calmness for her during this special time. It is such an exciting day, but there's no doubt it can get a wee bit stressful. I'm so very excited about her wedding. Even a little more than mine. Is that weird? Eh, she feels the same way.

*Tad corrected me regarding the Birthday post. He said his favorite thing is in fact me. I kind of knew that, but don't like to toot my own horn.

COUNTDOWN

Can't even believe we're three months away from the big day. Three months! It feels like just yesterday Tad proposed on that perfect August evening. I'm so thankful God gave me Tad. Both of our lives would be so very different had we not found each other again. We surely did not think we'd be married at age 26, but we're so grateful His plan led us here. In fact, never dreamed life could be so beautiful.

The wedding planning is coming along swimmingly. Definitely the most pricey little party I've ever had. Who knew? Worth every penny, though. Can't put a price on the celebration of love. A honeymoon is still up in the air due to school schedules and internships. We do plan on taking one, but it might not be until August. Hey, I'm very OK with waiting a wee bit longer to sit on an exotic beach with the new husby. Oh I think I like the ring of that.

A PROPOSAL

Long overdue, I know. I haven't put our proposal story on public display yet and I thought why not? It's book worthy. Literally. Tad kind of wrote me a book. "The Story of Us" to be exact.

Tad told me we were going to dinner at Cowboy's Bar Be Que in Salado. We love their sour cream potatoes, let it be known. So we arrive and they're closed (little did I know this was all part of his plan). So sneaky that one. He told me since we were in Salado he needed to stop by the Ramsey's cabin to get some equipment for a camping trip the next weekend.

Sidenote: This is the cabin where we took our first walk and also had our first kiss many moons ago. Not on the same night of course. I played a little hard to get. Hey, it worked.

We pulled up to the cabin and he asked me to help him get a few things. We get to the backyard and I see a table, pretty little wildflowers and a book. He tells me to read it. It's our story. I get to the last page (obviously a little teary eyed at this point) and it reads "But, will she say yes?"

That's right. He had the ring carved into the book. I die. So stinkin' sweet. I immediately said yes and he put the biggest diamond ring on my finger. I just love that the three-stone ring represents the past, present and future. It's my most favorite thing ever. He did so good.

He then told me we had a reservation at our favorite restaurant to celebrate. And we did. In fact, we're still celebrating. Can't believe I get to spend the rest of my life with my dearest friend.

P.S. Huge thanks to the Ramsey/Hodges family for letting Tad borrow the casa for our proposal. It was the most perfect place.

P.P.S. Tad is going to love the picture of him straight posing by himself.

SAVE THE DATE

Save the date why don't cha? Just had to share this little announcement we sent out last week. 151 days until he's all mine. Just for the record, I didn't count. That's what the wedding website is for.

LATELY

A wedding is near and the planning begins. Lucky for me, I'm getting loads of help from our parents and the event stylists. They're amazingly talented. We met today and they came up with delicious inspiration boards. I'm so very excited. We're going for a boho-chic, mod, gypsy-inspired celebration. It's going to be a little non-traditional, but oh so fun!

Also, Klifford has been too cute this week. A little more clingy than usual, but I've got no complaints. Check out this hunk in his cozy, crochet blanket. He kills me.

SIX MONTHS

I can't believe that exactly three months ago Tad proposed and in exactly six months, I'll marry my dearest friend. I met with the wedding event stylist and coordinator today and couldn't be more more thrilled about this celebration. I'm a wee bit creatively challenged so it was a must to get help with the design and details. Our parents are also very eager to help which we are so very thankful for.

Tad just finished his first year of law school on Thursday. Woohoo! So very proud of him. We're celebrating tonight with s'mores and a movie marathon. We also got our engagement photos back this week thanks to Tad's talented sister, Chelsea Pershall. I'll leave you with a little sneak peek.
